Steve Dondley
Founder, Owner, Chief Software Architect
Steve is a US Navy nuclear submarine veteran and the son of a union machinist. He started his career in the labor movement as a labor organizer for UFCW in Springfield, MA in 1996. With an early interest in computers and programming since childhood and a fascination with mass communication developed during his post secondary education at UMass, he combined his passions to develop websites for labor unions since 2000. He launched his company, Prometheus Labor Communications, in 2006. Mr. Dondley served as the Recording Secretary of the Pioneer Valley AFL-CIO from 2003 to 2019. He also served his community as a city councilor in his hometown of Westfield, MA and currently serves on the board of his local Kiwnanis Club chapter.
He is the principal architect of the UnionConnect mobile app platform and oversees Prometheus.
Sean Dondley
Chief Technical Officer and Lead Developer
Sean Dondley is driven by a simple mission: help unions build power in the digital age. As Chief Technical Officer, he heads up development of the UnionConnect app as well as custom website solutions. Sean has been working with Prometheus since 2020 and knows with the challenges unions face in keeping members connected and informed. After earning his Computer Science degree from UMass Amherst, he has been working with Prometheus in a full-time capacity since. Sean works directly with unions across the country to ensure products deliver real value to their members to help the labor movement stay strong in an increasingly digital world.
